The FLAG tag is a short peptide sequence (DYKDDDDK) commonly used in molecular biology to facilitate the detection and purification of recombinant proteins. Its small size minimizes interference with protein function and can be specifically recognized by anti-FLAG tag antibodies. FLAG is a registered trademark of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.
